Zacuto Indie Recoil Universal for all DSLR cameras

The Indie Recoil rig is universal for all cameras including mirrorless and DSLRs. It includes our Halfcage Rail and Recoil Handle for a sturdy top and side grip. This rig is perfect for those who already own the Zacuto EVF.

This is a Next Generation Recoil rig designed for optimal balance and comfort when shoulder mounted or on a tripod. With lenses and cameras being similar weights, the balance point is where the lens meets the camera body. In a Recoil rig, the balance point needs to be directly over your shoulder which puts the camera behind you. This requires focus, monitoring and camera controls to be relocated forward, creating a lighter and shorter rig.

Includes:
VCT Universal – this baseplate has a built-in, curved shoulder pad, a v-wedge tripod connector (with ¼” 20 and 3/8" 16 screw option), removable, extendable 6.5” iris rods and rows of ¼” 20 screw holes along the sides for accessories. The recessed rod mount offers maximum accessory capable space under your camera lens.
QR Riser – raises your camera to a height compatible with matteboxes. Also provides a quick-release for your camera. Includes Gorilla Plate V2 and Gorilla Tripod Dock.
Zgrip Zwivel – fully articulating handgrip. Attaches to a single 15mm rod with a Zwivel mount that can be set at multiple different angles for comfort and ease of use.
Halfcage Rail – solid, adjustable, universal cage structure for the side and top of your camera rig. Comes with 3” Z-rail for mounting on the side of the VCT Universal baseplate. The Halfcage Rail expands to fit over your camera and accessories and includes Z-Rail, 1/4" 20 screw, and 15mm rod accessory attachment ports.
Recoil Handle – this solid top grip attaches to the Halfcage Rail with a quick release, ratcheting lever. The Recoil Handle can accept two coldshoe accessories and has a quick release 15mm rod port for an Axis Mini or articulating arm.

PLEASE NOTE: This rig requires the addition of a monitor or Zacuto EVF.
