Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro G2 Capture Card

Blackmagic Design DeckLink 8K Pro G2 advanced digital video capture card with 12G-SDI inputs and outputs for 4K DCI. It offers dual link multi-rate 12G-SDI connections compatible with SD, HD, and Ultra HD up to 60p, and with 4K DCI full frame 4096 x 2160 up to 25p. Captures sequences in 10-bit YUV or 12-bit RGB. It supports AES/EBU audio, performs up/down/cross conversions, and includes an output for stereoscopic 3D content in full-bandwidth RGB 4:4:4:4 format. No other capture and playback card supports so many video formats and connections!

Editing and acquisition

DeckLink cards are compatible with the most popular editing programs, such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro X, Media Composer, and Premiere Pro, and offer the best connections to handle any video format. Furthermore, thanks to support for WDM they are also compatible with a wide variety of video software for Windows. If your software doesn't allow capture directly from DeckLink cards, simply use the included Media Express program to capture numerous compressed and uncompressed video formats. DeckLink cards are perfect for monitoring with the client nearby, on large TVs, and even with projectors!

Acquisition on set

If you work on set with DaVinci Resolve, use Resolve Live to correct images from the camera. With Resolve Live you can add nodes and make corrections in real time, then save the final version and recall it with the related files later. For each camera there is a DeckLink model with the connections necessary to do live color correction. Now you can capture images in specific, rare or custom formats and prepare them in real time for your post production workflow. DeckLink is compatible with all existing formats, and allows you to add new codecs and formats with third-party plug-ins. 

Visual effects and graphics

DeckLink 8K Pro is perfect for VFX work because it captures 4:4:4 RGB images at full color resolution without subsampling, ensuring flawless compositing. Capturing and playing DPX, DVI, and QuickTime files, DeckLink is fully compatible with your favorite VFX programs like Fusion, Nuke, and After Effects. Thanks to the included Photoshop plug-in you can capture and edit frames from the card! If you work with Photoshop and After Effects, DeckLink uses the RGB color space and eliminates video layers that are not permitted by the standard, ensuring accurate fill and key signals for external compositing of graphics and animation.

Audio post production

DeckLink cards are perfect for audio post production, for example to create the soundtrack for television commercials, TV series, and films. Depending on the model they include different channels for analog audio, AES/EBU digital, and 8 or 16 channels of integrated SDI audio. All DeckLink drivers work with leading audio post production solutions, such as DaVinci Resolve's Fairlight, ProTools, Steinberg Nuendo, and Cubase.

Color correction

Color accuracy, high resolution, and compatibility with stereoscopic 3D make DeckLink 8K Pro and DeckLink 4K Extreme 12G the ideal solutions for performing color correction with DaVinci Resolve. They even allow you to transmit uncompressed Ultra HD 4K images, ideal for exclusives Hollywood film projects.  Live production

DeckLink is the ultimate choice for use with live production switchers. Some models allow you to generate a fill and key signal from RGB graphics and animations, or directly from Photoshop thanks to the included plug-in. Now you can generate titles and graphics from your workstation and transfer them to the switcher in real time. To stream or capture in custom formats live, DeckLink cards connect to the switcher's video output!
