Samyang launches the Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE mk II, a second-generation evolution of its Standard Prime full-frame lens, optimized for portraits, landscapes and video shooting. Includes key Samyang features: focus hold button and custom switch. Samyang's announcement of this new AF 35mm F1.4 FE II means that both the 50mm and 35mm, two important angles of view in Samyang's F1.4 FE line, have been updated.

The 2 ASP (aspheric) elements in this new Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE mk II lens offer stunning contrast and incredible resolution. Samyang's advanced coating technology maintains superb image clarity, even in difficult lighting conditions.

Corner-to-corner sharpness is maintained even at maximum aperture, so optical performance is consistent at all exposure settings. Furthermore, the AF 35mm F1.4 FE II provides clearer images thanks to the improvement of the CCI (Color Contribution Index).

Faster, more precise and quieter autofocus performance

Samyang's Linear Stepping Motor (STM) provides the high-speed efficiency needed for fast, precise and quiet AF and tracking, thus maximizing the advantages of Sony E-Mount cameras. Compared to the previous Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE, this new Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE mk II is optimized not only for still photography, but also for video shooting, minimizing vibration and noise. Tracking the subject accurately and quickly, AF operates silently and smoothly even during video shooting. Samyang's Linear STM satisfies both photographers and videographers with quieter and more precise control of the optical focusing groups.

The F1.4 maximum aperture of this new Samyang AF 35mm f/1.4 FE mk II lens makes it easier to capture sharp images in low light conditions, even when shooting handheld. 1) Focus hold button

By pressing this button on the lens, the lens will remain locked at that focus distance. You can assign functions such as Eye AF in the camera body settings.

There is a custom switch, which can be set to allow silent aperture adjustment by rotating the focus ring. Using the optional Lens Station, you can set the mode to your preference*.

Minimum focusing distance 0.29m

The minimum focusing distance is just 29cm (0.95 feet), making the lens even more versatile. It can produce a unique perspective close to the subject and makes it easier to take portraits with exaggerated features, food on tables, etc.
