Blackmagic Design Mini Converter - Optical Fiber 12G
Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G, Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G converts SDI to optical fiber and optical fiber to SDI in both directions at the same time. The 12G‑SDI connections are multi rate, compatible with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats and equipment up to 2160p60, including Level A and B devices. Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G converts SDI to optical fiber and optical fiber to SDI in both directions at the same time, you can even have different video standards going in each direction! The 12G‑SDI connections are multi rate, which makes it compatible with all SD, HD and Ultra HD formats and equipment up to 2160p60, including Level A and B devices. You can install any standard 3G, 6G or 12G‑SDI SFP optical fiber module so you can send SDI using the same low cost optical fiber cables that are commonly used for computer networks.
This converter converts SD and HD video up to 12G-SDI to optical fiber and the other way around simultaneously.
The optical fiber cage can be fitted with a SMPTE compatible SFP optical fiber module that supports up to 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI video.
Your converter automatically detects the video input format and sets the output format to match. Both directions are completely independent.
This converter is helpful if you need to send and receive SDI signals over longer distances than traditional SDI cables will support. For example, SD video can be sent up to 45 km or 147,000 feet using optical fiber, compared to just 300 feet with copper SDI cables. 12G-SDI can be sent up to 6 km away
