The Blackmagic ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus is the most powerful Ultra HD live production switcher ever created by Blackmagic Design and is being introduced at NAB 2025 as the perfect solution for large scale events, concerts and professional broadcast production. With 80 standards converted 12G-SDI inputs and 48 12G-SDI aux outputs, this rack mount device gives you unprecedented flexibility when you need to handle large setups with multiple video sources.

Designed to work with video standards up to Ultra HD 2160p60, Constellation 4K Plus has advanced features that make it perfect for live productions of all sizes. Each input includes a full frame rate and format converter, so you can connect different sources without having to worry about them getting out of sync. Features include 4 DVEs (Digital Video Effects) for dynamic transitions and picture-in-picture effects, as well as 16 ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers for creating sophisticated overlay effects like green screens or multi-layered graphics. The 2 SuperSource processors add an additional 8 DVE layers, bringing the total to 12, so you can create complex visual keying in real time.

Connectivity is another great feature, with 4 independent multiview outputs that let you monitor up to 16 customizable windows, allowing you to see input, preview, graphics and program output on separate screens. The built in talkback uses 5-pin XLR or RJ12 connectors for using industry standard systems such as ClearCom or RTS, and uses SDI channels 15 and 16 for bi-directional communication with Blackmagic Design cameras. For audio, the 156 channel Fairlight audio mixer features advanced EQ, dynamics and control, with additional MADI outputs for routing audio to an external audio engineer, making it perfect for productions that require broadcast quality sound.

The Blackmagic ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K Plus also features a rugged, quiet design with a highly efficient thermal management system, making it ideal for 2 rack unit installation in studios or on the go. The USB-C connection lets you use it as a webcam for live streaming to platforms such as Zoom or OBS, while the built in front panel LCD lets you quickly control it during setup or emergencies.
